Welcome, we are glad you have found us.
We are your neighbours, teamates, your co-workers.
Basically, we are a bunch of ordinary people connecting with each other, our community
and the God who loves us all.
As the province continues to work out the slow lifting of restrictions we as a council continue to monitor the changes and determine how we too will work toward re-entry into our new facilities. The decision has been made to not return to Kanata at this time as it would be logistically challenging, so we are focused on the return being to the new church building once we have the go ahead from our builder. In the meantime we encourage each of you to stay connected through small group visits or phone calls and email. We are thankful for the many groups that have continued to meet over this time and we continue to be available if you have any questions.
We will continue to record and email out the weekly worship services to our congregation. If you would like to be included in those emails or would like access to the online services please contat the church office at email@example.com.
Update: March 31, 2020 In light of the current situation occurring in Ottawa and around the world, and on the recommendation of various forms of government, and out of growing concern for the safety of the members of our congregation, our regular Sunday church service will be canceled until further notice. We will continue to assess the situation on a per-week basis based upon recommendations provided to us by local, provincial and federal officials. If you haven’t checked it out yet, an excellent resource of information is Ottawa Public Health: https://www.ottawapub
For more than a year now we have been reflecting on the names of God. We feel now may be a good time to reflect on Jehovah Rapha – God is Healer. This is used in many different contexts throughout scripture but extends beyond just sickness and infirmity (Psalm 41:3). God also promises to heal us from mental affliction (Jonah 2: 5-7), spiritual fatigue (Psalm 23:3), emotional suffering (Psalm 147:3), and anxiety or worry (John 14:27). We’d encourage you to pray for the front line workers who put their own safety at risk to serve others. Pray for the many levels of government officials that need to make tough decisions. And lastly pray for each other, that we may take comfort in a God that Heals, even our anxiety. Though we can’t gather as a large group, the phone is just sitting there. Follow the promptings of your heart and just give someone a call.
Tuesday to Friday from 9:30 to 2:30 PM
|We will keep you up to date each week on service times and information on the What's Happening this Week tab.
